Bell's
Bush
Bell's
Bush is a small area of water between Woods Bay and Wookey Point
and was named for the famous Dr. Bell who invented the Amber Nymph.
Nothing remains of the original bush but a commemorative bench marks
the place where it once stood.
Bell's gives some good deep-water access to bank fishermen
in high water and if levels continue to stay up during the year
Bell's will provide bank sport throughout the season.
However, Bell's provides excellent boat fishing in
the early season to the early summer, particularly along the small
inlet on the left-hand side (when facing the position) when fish
can be found across the width of the lake right up into the bushes
surrounding the inlet.
