Long Bay

Lake mapHome BayGreen Lawn Along from Home Bay is Long Bay. This area used to provide exceptional early season bank fishing and occasional boat fishing but has not proved to hold many fish in recent years.

When fish do hold in Long Bay, they tend to hold under the pine trees at the head of the bay or from half way along the bank carrying the perimeter road to the bushes before Green Lawn. The inlet stream creates a deep "V" profile to Long Bay which shelves just before the causeway coming off Green Lawn.

Rarely fished from the bank because of extensive willow growth, Long Bay is now mainly the preserve of boat fishermen.
